Credit card fraud Zaman arrested in NY

Natun Sokal Desk : A New York man wanted for his role in a multi-million dollar credit card scheme based in Hudson County was arrested Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Mohammad Shahid Zaman, 42, was a "central figure" in the elaborate fraud ring dismantled by state and federal authorities in December, acting Attorney General John Hoffman said in a statement. He is one of 13 people facing charges including fraud and money laundering.

Zaman, of Staten Island, is accused of obtaining stolen Social Security numbers, which the others allegedly used to concoct fake identities as part of a "bust-out scheme."
