Avijit murderers under surveillance

Natun Sokal Report: Police have identified three suspected persons who directly took part in the killing operation of secularist writer-blogger Avijit Roy.

Deputy Inspector General Monirul Islam, also chief of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit, made the disclosure while talking to newsmen at DMP Media Centre on Thursday afternoon.

He said that the law enforcers also identified some six others more who cordoned the area during murdering and drive will be conducted soon to detain them.

Monirul Islam said, "Avijit murdering incident was completely clue less. This type of investigation took much time than other cases."

Avijit Roy, also founder of Mukto-Mona blog, was hacked to death by assailants near TSC when he and his wife Rafida Ahmed Bonya were returning from the book fair on February 26 last year.
